AUTHOR BIO

 

KSR Menon has worked as the Middle East correspondent of Indian news agencies – the Press Trust of India and later the United News of India – in Dubai for over 18 years. Reporting on the political and economic developments in the region has given him a keen insight into the life in one of the most volatile regions of the world. He has traveled extensively in the region. 

His articles have appeared in Far Eastern Economic Review (Hong Kong), Lloyd’s List (London), Khaleej Times (Dubai), Gulf Today (Sharjah), Daily Star (Beirut) and World Press Review (New York) as well as Hindustan Times, Times of India, and DNA, to mention a few Indian dailies.

He has published two books: A Style Book for Authors and Journalists (Konark Publishers, Delhi) and a travelogue in his mother tongue Malayalam which is spoken by 30 million people in Kerala, India. The travelogue was earlier serialized in a popular weekly, Kalakaumudi. He has also published short stories.

A post graduate in English Literature, he studied journalism at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. He was also associated with the Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses, New Delhi.
